Many people are looking for mentors, how to's and instructions on how to be a Pro Domme, how to be a Fem Domme, How to be a Dominatrix. It seems as if every time i log in there is a new post asking for info on how. Here is my half in jest, part in seriousness guide.

Let's start with How to be a Dom(me)

-Be accountable (if you fuck up, you own that, fix that and learn from that)

-Be Responsible for yourself (on all levels, physical, financial, emotional, social, spiritual, mental)

-Know yourself (The more self aware you are the more in charge you can be)

-Have or learn to have excellent communication skills. I include in this category having an assertive and non threatening communication style and appropriate body language and conflict resolution techniques

-Learn to adjust your idea of what domination is to accommodate your partner and the world we live in.

-Before you use a technique, make sure you have learned to do it safely

-Always insist on clear and honest communication and give the same.

Everything else is just window dressing. Some Dominants make day to day choices for their s types, some play with impact toys, some make rules and protocols-but some do not. Some simply lead. Figure out what appeals to you, and then make adjustments to be appealing to your partner/victim.

How to be a Fem Domme

-First learn how to be a Dom(me)

-Learn what your intended victim will and will not explore, then research the things that interest him.

-Be prepared to be spending a great deal of time and attention on your s type.

-Find an outfit that makes you feel in charge, or an outfit for him to make him feel the shift in power.

-Take control, while always remembering part of leadership and being in charge means ensuring the well being of your s-type

There is a great deal of Fem Domme porn. Most of it is fairly.. erm... unrealistic. But with mind fuckery, imagination and a few household items, you can have your little slave believing that he is the center of one of his favorite fantasies. Find a persona you enjoy. Are you a bitchy Lady, tired of his nonsense? Are you a sweet talking, evil doing femme fatal? Perhaps you are a Woman who will mock him, humiliate him and deny him sexual gratification? You get to decide!

How to be a Dominatrix

-Do all of the 'how to be a dom(me)'

-Have a wardrobe (does not have to be leather. Can be a suit, an evening gown, or whatever makes you feel sexy and bossy.

-Figure out what you are ok doing, and what you are not.

-Find out what your intended victim is ok doing and what he/she is not.

-Take control, while always remembering that part of leadership and being in charge means ensuring the well being of your s-type.

-Research the interests of your s types before doing them. (Trampling? Find a dungeon and ask someone to teach you how to safely do, or read the boards on trampling,watch videos. Ask your sub about the how to or where to learn more.

How to be a Pro Domme

There are three ways to do this.

1. -ignore everything above

- place an add on Craigslist

-Hope to goodness your 'client' is not jack the ripper.

-When he arrives take his Amazon gift card tribute

-Give him a little beating and send him on his way or

2. -Make a crack at a party or event about how you beat boys for a living

-Have some guy slip you his name and number

-Show up just to see

-Do some mildly kinky things (boss him around, call him a puppy, pee on him)

-Graciously accept his tribute. OR

3. -Discover a love for certain BDSM activities.

-Follow the 'how to be a Domme'

-Preferable have some sort of business plan in place

-Work at an established dungeon, create your own small play space, approach another pro about renting their play space, rent a play space

-Advertise

The how to is easy. The learning the psychology behind the activities clients want is not quickly learned. Being able to read a client and direct the scene so that the feel utterly dominated or sissified or punished is something no one can teach you. That just takes time, experience, and perceptive thinking. (social skills)
